Sixty-two-year-old Bannia Darrow from Great Falls, Va., was injured in a three-car accident in front of Ames Supply on Rt. 1, June 18.
According to a press release from Wiscasset police chief Troy Cline, Darrow was injured after her Honda CRV collided with a stopped vehicle driven by Mabel O’Brien, 81, of Alna. The impact caused O’Brien’s car to crash into the car ahead of her, driven by Pearl Brandes, 59, of New York, NY.
Wiscasset Ambulance personnel arrived shortly afterward and treated Darrow; her condition is still unknown at press time.
Darrow’s and O’Brien’s vehicles were towed from the scene due to the damage received in the crash. Rt. 1 traffic was briefly reduced to one lane until the scene was cleared.
Cline said he does not anticipate criminal charges as a result of this crash.
