Snowfall totals in the 5 to 8 inch range blanketed Lincoln County on Thursday, but there were no major storm related incidents reported at the time of this posting, according to reports.
A Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) expired as scheduled at 9 p.m. on Thursday as the remaining elements of the storm moved out of the area.
While there were a number of minor traffic accidents and schools were closed, Lincoln County weathered the storm without major incident, according to Tim Pellerin, Director of the Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency (LCEMA).
There were no power outages reported in Lincoln County during the storm, according to Central Maine Power (CMP)
Temperatures remained below freezing for the duration of the event, making for a light fluffy snowfall.
