An accident involving a tractor trailer and a silver Camaro on Rt. 1 in Waldoboro Wednesday afternoon sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries. According to The Lincoln County News reporter on the scene, the northbound Camaro was attempting to go around a car making a turn onto Rt. 235 when it lost control and slid into the path of the southbound tractor trailer.
Completely demolished in the crash, the Camaro came to rest well off the road, almost into the woods.
Waldoboro Fire and Rescue and Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene.
Mike, who declined to give his last name, from KW Truck Leasing of South Portland, reported he was unable to move the tractor trailer. The passenger side bumper on the tractor trailer collapsed onto the wheel due to the impact.
