Two 20-year-old men, one from Waldoboro and another from New York City, were arrested by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency in Waldoboro May 16 and charged with trafficking in oxycodone, a Class B felony.
According to Jim Pease, a supervisory special agent with MDEA, the arrests followed an investigation over the last few weeks by Waldoboro Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, and the MDEA.
Ryan Booker, of Waldoboro, was allegedly selling oxycodone pills around the town of Waldoboro, according to Pease.
“Today during our surveillance we found his supplier, Dominic Valle, was in town,” Pease alleged.
At around 4 p.m., Waldoboro Police pulled Valle, of New York City, over near Ralph’s Homes on Route 1, and a consent search of Valle allegedly turned up $4,800 and 24 30-milligram oxycodone pills, according to Pease.
“They were selling them for around $40 a pill,” Pease alleged.
Booker was later arrested at his Waldoboro home, Pease said.
Both men were taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail. Booker’s bail was set at $1000 unsecured and Valle’s was set at $23,000 cash, according to Pease.
