One person was transported to the hospital following a two car accident in Nobleboro on Friday afternoon, Oct. 9.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Winslow Hill Road and Route 1 in Nobleboro near the Nobleboro Town Office.
The accident involved a southbound, compact Honda SUV, operated by Charles Wright, 81, of Wiscasset and a northbound, black Chevy sedan operated by Spencer Paul, 30, of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
According to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Collamore, the collision occurred when the southbound Honda failed to yield to oncoming traffic during a left hand turn onto Winslow Road.
A pregnant female passenger in the Chevy sedan, was not injured in the collision, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution, Collamore said.
Collamore said speed and weather conditions were not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Lincoln County Communications paged the Nobleboro Fire and Rescue, Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Waldoboro EMS shortly after 12 p.m.
Hillside Collision Center of Waldoboro and Quick Turn Towing of Damariscotta assisted emergency responders at the scene.
