Newcastle boatbuilder Chip Holmes has announced the launch of a unique boat that will soon ply the Damariscotta River, providing passengers with a great platform to enjoy a river cruise, or explore scenic river islands.
The launch is set for 4 p.m. on Fri., June 28 at the Damariscotta Town Landing.
The launch will take place regardless of weather conditions at the time, according to Holmes. Blustery, rainy weather is in the forecast.
The vessel will utilize a drop-down bow-ramp to allow passengers access to almost any river destination, and will be large enough and stable enough to host a dance party in motion, according to Holmes.
