A total of 189 households, most in the northern part of Lincoln County, were the first power outages reported as heavy rainfall and high winds blasted through the area Tuesday night. The outages were included in the 7:28 p.m. update from Central Maine Power. A Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service remained in effect until 11 p.m. as winds gusting to 50 mph were forecast to buffet Lincoln County.
However, as the winds died down toward midnight, power was also restored in short order. As of the 11:28 p.m. update from CMP, only four Lincoln County households were still suffering from power outages.
A majority of the outages were reported in Alna and Whitefield, with additional outages reported in Bremen.
Lincoln County remains under a Flood Watch until Wednesday afternoon, according to the NWS.
