The state medical examiner has identified the victim of a single-vehicle collision on Somerville Road in Somerville, June 14, as Nikhil Andrew Rodrigues, 27, of Somerville. The identification was made through the use of DNA.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the Somerville Fire Department responded to the single-vehicle crash after receiving a 911 call. When they arrived, the vehicle was fully involved in flames. Rodrigues was found dead inside the vehicle.
According to a press release, the 2009 Toyota Rav4 had been northbound on Somerville Road when it left the roadway and struck a large tree.
A memorial service has been scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. on Fri., June 22 at St. Giles’ Episcopal Church in Jefferson.
