No injuries were reported following a single-car accident in Waldoboro on Monday afternoon, Sept. 21.
According to Waldoboro Police Officer Jeff Fuller, a white Mitsubishi coupe drove into a ditch and flipped onto its roof when the vehicle struck a culvert in the ditch.
Fuller said the car was traveling north on Old Route 1 in Waldoboro at the time of the accident.
Fuller said that it was believed the driver had reached down to adjust the stereo when the car entered the ditch. The size of the ditch prevented the driver from returning to the road.
Fuller said there were no injuries associated with the rollover and an ambulance was not called to the scene.
According to Fuller, Cody Beal, 21, of Damariscotta, was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Lincoln County Communications paged the Waldboro fire and police departments shortly after 4 p.m.
Hillside Collision Center, of Waldoboro, assisted emergency responders at the scene.
