The Old Broad Bay Family History Association of Waldoboro is pleased to announce that the Waldoboro Public Library is the recipient of the 2011 Jasper J. Stahl Memorial Fund Award.
The Stahl Fund Award is given annually to a person or organization that is working to preserve the genealogy and history of the Waldoboro area.
This year’s award is given in recognition of the library’s efforts to compile and preserve local genealogical information and research texts within the library where they will be accessible to the public. The award will be used to purchase a two-year membership to the New England Historic Genealogical Society for the library.
This membership will allow library patrons free access to the NEHGS research website, AmericanAncestors.org.
The Stahl award will be presented by OBBFHA President David Putnam to Tim McFadden, the Director of the Waldoboro Public Library, at the OBBFHA annual Board of Directors Meeting at 9 a.m., on Sat., June 18. All are welcome.
