A Waldoboro man is being held in lieu of $15,000 cash bail after he was arrested Oct. 2 on charges of gross sexual assault, attempted gross sexual assault, and burglary – all class B felonies.
John Wyman, 42, was arrested by Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde and Officer Larry Hesseltine and charged related to two separate incidents in recent months, according to Labombarde.
Wyman allegedly committed the burglary and attempted gross sexual assault at a property on Friendship Road Aug. 16, and allegedly committed the gross sexual assault at his home on Friendship Road Sept. 23, Labombarde said.
The two separate incidents each had a separate victim, he said.
Labombarde said he was unable to release any further details about the case because the case remains under investigation by himself and Hesseltine.
Wyman was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail where he remained as of the afternoon of Oct. 6, according to jail personnel.
Anyone having any information that may assist in the investigation are asked to call Labombarde or Hesseltine at 832-4500.
