A Waldoboro man was indicted March 11 on charges of aggravated assault and domestic violence assault for allegedly choking and striking a woman in Damariscotta in January.
According to the affidavit of Damariscotta Police Officer Devin Polizzotti, two witnesses reported seeing a male in a green, two-tone pickup truck strike a girl and then choke her on Jan. 4.
The vehicle was later located in Nobleboro, and Polizzotti arrested Roger A. Feltis, 22. Court documents list addresses for Feltis in Waldoboro and Sangerville.
“The female victim had red marks on her face and around her throat and neck area,” Polizzotti wrote.
Feltis was released from Two Bridges Regional Jail on Jan. 6 on $1,000 bail, according to jail personnel, and is subject to a pre-conviction supervision contract prohibiting him from contact with the alleged victim.
Attempts to reach Feltis for comment were unsuccessful.
Feltis’s arraignment is scheduled for April 27 at 8:30 a.m. in Lincoln County Superior Court.
