A Waldoboro man accused of stabbing two women last year, one of whom died, pleaded guilty to all charges on April 16 in Lincoln County Superior Court.
Earl “Buddy” Bieler, 25, pleaded guilty to murder, aggravated attempted murder, elevated aggravated assault, burglary with a firearm, theft and illegal possession of a firearm, said his attorney, William Avantaggio.
Bieler was arrested in April 2009 in connection with the stabbing of Rachel Grindal, 27, and Tracey Neild, 32, in front of Neild’s home at 161 Controversy Lane in Waldoboro. Grindal died from her wounds. Neild’s throat was cut, but she recovered and was later able to identify Bieler and Corina Durkee, 42, also of Waldoboro, as the attackers.
