The Waldoboro Police Dept. is asking for the public’s help locating a local man wanted on a charge of aggravated assault.
After investigating several leads from the community, police obtained a warrant for the arrest of Christopher Benner, 34. The charge stems from an assault on a 63-year-old Nobleboro man in the parking lot of the Hannaford Brothers Supermarket in Waldoboro Jan. 19.
After all leads ran cold during the initial investigation Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde issued a press release asking for the public’s help identifying the man responsible for the assault.
Benner has been eluding capture by the police. Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde is again asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.
Benner is described as being a white male, approximately six feet tall, weighing 250 lbs. with brown hair, brown eyes. He is believed to be in the Midcoast area.
