Five victims were hospitalized following a reported home invasion on Bowden Road in Warren on Aug. 24, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office reports.
KSCO deputies are investigating the incident. Although no arrests have been made, lead investigator Det. Reginald Walker said on Aug. 25 authorities have identified suspects.
Authorities said four of the victims were treated and released – two from Miles Memorial Hospital and two from Pen Bay Medical Center.
The fifth victim is believed to be in stable condition after being transferred to Maine Medical Center with severe injuries, Walker said.
Police believe that around 9:30 p.m. one male and two female suspects entered the home in “a drug related robbery,” according to a KCSO press release. Suspects entered by force, demanded money, and assaulted the five victims with blunt instruments and a firearm, according to police.
Several thousand dollars in cash and several expensive items are reported stolen.
Because Bowden Road is a dead-end starting in Waldoboro, Waldoboro Police were first on the scene and assisted with tending to victims, Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde said.
