The Waldoboro Police report the following activities from the previous week:
Oct. 8, Officer Sean Kozer investigated an accident at 2:28 a.m. Glenn Styles, 54, of Bremen, who was driving a 2007 Chevrolet, van, was southbound on the Atlantic Highway when a deer ran out into the street from the east side to the west side. Styles took evasive action but ended up striking deer causing $1000 damage to the vehicle.
Oct. 10, Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident on the Bremen Rd. at 9:06 a.m. James O’Brien, 37, of Nobleboro, who was driving 1995 Eagle, 4 door sedan, swerved to miss a 2003 Chevrolet, van operated by Terry Gifford, 55, of Waldoboro, who was driving, no damage. O’Brien’s vehicle came to a rest in a hole in the ditch on the side of the road. There were no injuries. O’Brien’s vehicle sustained $2000 damage.
On Oct. 12, Officer Sean Kozer investigated a single car accident on the Washington Road at 8:40 p.m. Vehicle one was driven by Danielle Hopkins, 21, of Waldoboro, who was driving a 2003 Chevrolet, SUV, resulting in $4500 damage. Hopkins’ vehicle was traveling south on the Washington Road. The operator stated three deer crossed from her left to her right and she swerved to avoid a deer. Hopkins’ vehicle crossed from the southbound lane, across the northbound lane and into the ditch, striking a tree. The operator complained of facial pain.
Oct. 12, Officer Jeffery Fuller arrested Benjamin Rackliff, 35, of Waldoboro, on a warrant out of Lincoln County.
Oct. 12, Officer Sean Kozer summonsed Danielle Hopkins, 21, of Union, for operating after suspension, as the result of an accident. No accident report available at this time.
Oct. 10, Officers Jeffery Fuller and Thomas Hoepner charged James Sprague, 41, of Wiscasset, for criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
Oct. 12, Ernest Vannah, 29, of Waldoboro was summonsed for operating under the influence from an accident that occurred on Sept. 24.
Oct. 8, Officer Lance Mitchell is investigating a report of a theft of medication from a private residence.
Oct. 8, Officer Lance Mitchell is investigating a report of the theft of two political signs from private property.
Oct. 8, Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report of the theft of a can of gas and a receiver hitch out of a vehicle while it was parked at the park and ride on the Atlantic Highway.
Oct. 9, Officer Lance Mitchell is investigating a report of the theft of a monitor heater.
Oct. 9, Chief William Labombarde is investigating a report of harassing phone calls.
Oct. 10, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report that three individuals are threatening a female.
Oct. 10, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report that someone went on a moored boat and cut a lock.
Oct. 10, Officer Lance Mitchell is investigating a report that someone had just ripped up a Halloween display in front of the Sproul Block.
Oct. 10, Sergeant Jamie Wilson investigated a loud noise complaint. The subjects were found and warned.
Oct. 11, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a business that someone took off top of a cigarette disposal. The property was later returned.
Oct. 11, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from Depot St. resident that someone threw a pumpkin at her mailbox and broke the door on it.
Oct. 11, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a Maple Drive resident that someone attempted to break into his residence in two places. No entry was gained.
Oct. 11, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report that someone either cut or deflated tires on a car while it was parked at a private residence.
Oct. 11, Sergeant Jamie Wilson investigated a report of an intoxicated disorderly subject in the downtown area. Subject was found and warned.
Oct. 11, Officer Sean Kozer and Sergeant Jamie Wilson received two reports of loud music on Depot Street. Subjects were told to turn down music on two different occasions and the last time they were told they would be summonsed if they didn’t keep the music down.
