The Waldoboro Police report the following activities from the previous week:
Jan. 29, Officer Justin Cook investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 2:15 p.m. Elaine Kampner, 63, of Melrose, Mass., was driving a 1996 Ford van north on the Atlantic Highway when she failed to negotiate curve due to icy road conditions. Kampner’s vehicle left the roadway and came to rest on side. The Ford sustained $7000 damage. There were no injuries.
Feb. 1, Sergeant Jamie Wilson investigated an accident that occurred on the Winslow’s Mills Rd. at 6:17 p.m. Daniel Aubel, 17, of Chino Valley, Ariz., was traveling southbound on the Winslow’s Mills Rd. while operating a 2000 Buick, four door sedan when he spun on the icy roadway and slid into opposing lane, striking a northbound 2000 Jeep, SUV, operated by Amanda Bean, 22, of Warren. Both vehicles sustained approximately $4000 damage. Amanda Bean complained of neck pain and a passenger, Steven Bean, sustained minor abrasions.
Jan. 28, Officer Justin Cook summonsed Amanda Young, 27, of Waldoboro for negotiating a worthless instrument.
Jan. 29, Officer Justin Cook summonsed Kevin Manheim, 41, of Thomaston, for failure to show proof of insurance.
Jan. 29, Detective Lance Mitchell and Officer Justin Cook charged a 17 year old male and a 14 year old male for criminal trespass after receiving a call that two male juveniles were on the roof of the old A.D. Gray building and going in the building.
Jan. 29, Sergeant Jamie Wilson arrested Gregory Phillips, 20, of Cushing, on a violation of conditional release and a violation of a protective order.
Jan. 31, Officer Jeffery Fuller summonsed Peter Johnson, 23, of Warren for operating after license suspended and improper plates.
Jan. 31, Officer Jeffery Fuller arrested Timothy Sandblom, 50, of Waldoboro for disorderly conduct.
Feb. 2, Officer Jeffery Fuller summonsed Seth Tolman, 27, of Thomaston for failure to show proof of insurance.
Feb. 2, Officer Jeffery Fuller summonsed Scott Schultz, 43, of Waldoboro for failure to show proof of insurance.
Jan. 27, Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a reported theft of a .22 magnum Derringer, unknown value.
