The Waldoboro Police report the following activities from the previous week:
Feb. 23, Officer Thomas Bartunek summonsed Robert Eberle, 45, of Searsmont, for speed 62/40.
Feb. 23, Emily Maki, 27, of Nobleboro, was traveling north on the Atlantic Highway around 7:49 p.m. when a turkey flew east across the roadway, bounced off the roof of an unknown vehicle, and crashed through Maki’s windshield. The turkey went all the way into the passenger compartment of the vehicle and ended up on the front passenger floor. Maki’s 2007 Dodge, four door sedan sustained $900 damage. She was not injured. Officer Sean Kozer investigated.
Feb. 24, Nicole Segerson, 25, of Leeds, and Lee Gamage, 69, of Yarmouth, were both traveling south on the Atlantic Highway around 4:50 p.m. Leeds struck Gamage in the rear when Gamage attempted to turn left. Leeds’ 2000 Toyota, four-door sedan sustained $2000 damage. Gamage’s 2007 Ford van sustained $1000 damage. Neither operator was injured. Officer Thomas Hoepner investigated.
Feb. 25, Carlie Knight, 19, of Friendship, and Wayne Leeman, 38, of Waldoboro were traveling east on Friendship Road. When Knight started to turn into a driveway, Leeman could not stop due to road conditions and hit Knight’s 2009 Dodge, four door sedan in the rear, causing an estimated $1200 damage. Leeman’s 1993 Chevrolet, two axle, single unit with dual tires, was not damaged. Neither party was injured. Officer Thomas Hoepner investigated.
