The Waldoboro Police report the following activities from the previous week:
Feb. 28, Officer Sean Kozer is investigating two separate reports that someone stole inspection stickers from two private vehicles, damaging both windshields, while those vehicles were parked at the Dutch Neck Landing.
Feb. 29, Officer Kozer is investigating the reported theft of an I-pod, case, speakers and guitar tuner from a private vehicle.
March 2, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a reported theft.
March 2, Officer Fuller is investigating a report of criminal threatening.
March 2, Det. Mitchell is investigating the reported theft of medication
March 3, Officer William Shuman is investigating a reported stolen wallet.
March 4, Officer Fuller is investigating a report that someone threw a cement block through a window at A. D. Gray School.
March 4, Det. Mitchell is investigating a reported burglary.
March 1, Dionne Barnett, 44, of Somerville, was operating a 2003 Jeep, utility vehicle southbound on the Washington Road around 6:02 a.m., near the intersection of Violet Lane, when Barnett lost control of the vehicle and began to fishtail. The Jeep went off the right side of the roadway, struck a rock and rolled onto its roof. Barnett was temporarily trapped inside the vehicle but was able to exit through a window. She was not injured. This accident occurred during a snowstorm. Officer Kozer investigated.
March 1, During a snowstorm, around 12:10 p.m. Crystal Spear, 16, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2002 Dodge passenger car northbound on the Winslow’s Mills Road. Spear was traveling behind a pickup truck that was intentionally spinning its rear tires, causing the truck to fishtail. The truck lost control and slid sideways down the road. Spear was attempting to avoid the truck when she went off the roadway and struck a rock, She was not injured. The truck left the scene with no further information provided. Officer Kozer investigated.
March 1, Around 2:55 p.m. Adam Kennedy, 37, of Cushing, was operating a 2005 GMC pickup truck south on the Friendship Road in a snowstorm when he went off the left side of the roadway. Kennedy was not injured. Officer Tom Hoepner investigated.
March 2, On the Old Augusta Road around 2:06 p.m. Hope Gould, 76, of New Harbor, lost control of her 2008 Honda passenger car due to road conditions, left the roadway and struck several large rocks and a telephone pole before coming to rest. Gould was not injured. Officer Fuller investigated.
March 4, Carolyn Cunningham, 30, of Thomaston, was driving a 1995 Dodge pickup truck northbound on the Atlantic Highway around 12:47 a.m. While going uphill, Cunningham lost control of her vehicle due to road conditions, slid off the left side of the roadway, then rolled over. She was not injured. Officer Shuman investigated.
