Waldoboro Police Report

Waldoboro officer’s responded to 276 calls for service in this time period. Below are a few of the highlights.

AccidentsJan. 21, Gregory Stoddart, 43, of Cushing, operating a 2006 Isuzu truck, was stopped at traffic light on the Atlantic Highway at 2:49 p.m. Daniel Briggs, 31, of Old Town, driving a 2006 Toyota sedan, coming up behind Stoddart’s vehicle and was distracted, reading a map, and ran into the back of the Isuzu. There were no injuries. Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated.

Jan. 22, Jeremey Miller, 37, of Waldoboro, was exiting a private driveway onto Wagner Bridge Road and did not see Lindsay Dever, 23, of Waldoboro, driving a 2000 Dodge sedan northbound. Miller proceeded into roadway, causing Dever to crash into the front corner of Miller’s 2004 BMW sedan around 9:34 p.m. No injuries. Officer Andrew Santheson investigated.

Jan. 31, Around 2:40 p.m. while operating a 2000 Pontiac sedan on the Atlantic Highway, Michael Austin, 17, of Waldoboro, attempted to go around a 2012 Toyota utility vehicle operated by Barbara Collins, 62, of Lisbon, as Collins was making a right turn into a business. This caused the vehicles to make contact with each other in the breakdown lane. No injuries. Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated.

Arrests/SummonsJan. 21, Officer Larry Hesseltine arrested Derick Winslow, 23, of Waldoboro, for operating after suspension and refusing to submit to arrest.

Jan. 22, Officer Larry Hesseltine arrested Jason Weeks, 35, of Waldoboro, on two warrants and summoned him for operating after suspension.

Jan. 22, Officer Andrew Santheson summoned Michelle Leonard, 47, of Spruce Head, for speed.

Jan. 23, Officer Larry Hesseltine arrested Zachary Genthner, 22, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Jan. 24, Officer Larry Hesseltine arrested Derek Hinkley, 29, of Jefferson, for a violation of conditional release.

Jan. 24, Officer Larry Hesseltine arrested Jamie Luce, 30, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Jan. 28, Officer Hesseltine summoned James Wilkinson, 23, of Jefferson with harassment by telephone.

Jan. 30, Officer Hesseltine summoned a 15-year-old female for assault and criminal mischief.

Jan. 31, Sgt. Jamie Wilson arrested Michael Hoffman, 37, of Jefferson for domestic violence terrorizing.

ComplaintsJan. 21, Officer John Lash is investigating a reported break in and theft of approximately $20 worth of heating oil.

Jan. 24, Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from the Big Apple of the theft of approximately $40 worth of kerosene.
