Waldoboro officers responded to 116 calls for service in this time period. Below are a few of the highlights.
July 31, around 12 p.m. on the Friendship Road, Sarah Richardson, 48, of Florida, was driving a southbound 2010 Cadillac sedan while James Hearn, 50, of New Hampshire, was driving a northbound 2005 Honda sedan. Richardson and Hearn sideswiped each other, causing minor damage to the driver’s side mirror on each vehicle. Richardson crested the hill and came to a complete stop in the middle of the northbound travel lane. Brenda Winslow, 65, of Friendship, operating a 2003 Toyota utility vehicle, crested the hill and found Richardson stopped in Winslow’s lane of travel. Winslow was unable to stop in time and ran into the back of Richardson’s vehicle. No injuries. Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated.
Aug. 1, while operating a 2000 Volkswagen sedan on the Atlantic Highway around 9:43 a.m., Timothy Hibbard, 25, of Nobleboro, attempted to pass a 2008 Jeep utility vehicle operated by Trudy Boulette, 53, of Norridgewock, while Boulette was attempting a left hand turn. No injuries. Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated.
Charlotte Libby, 29, Waldoboro, operating under the influence, operating with an expired license, endangering the welfare of a child, Aug. 3.
July 30, Officer Spear is investigating a $60.22 gasoline drive off from the Big Apple.
July 31, Officer Hesseltine is investigating a complaint that a tire from an unknown vehicle broke a window at the Coast of Maine Crematorium building.
Aug. 1, Officer Fuller is investigating a report that someone broke into a private vehicle and stole medication.
