Waldoboro officers responded to 251 calls for service in this time period. Below are a few of the highlights.

Feb. 10: Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated an accident in the parking lot at the intersection of Atlantic Highway and Manktown Road at 9:30 a.m. Robert Cole, 17, of Jefferson, was driving a 1998 Ford pickup. Gabriel Cooley, 17, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet pickup. The Cole vehicle was parked legally, facing east. Cooley was westbound in the parking lot. Cooley impacted with the Cole vehicle head-on.
Feb. 10: Officer Tom Bartunek investigated an accident on the Friendship Road at 5:29 p.m. Keisha Fetchen, 22, of Rockland, was driving a 2007 Dodge sedan. John Emerson Jr., 27, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2004 Jeep utility vehicle. The Fetchen vehicle was in front of the Emerson vehicle; both were traveling southbound on Friendship Road. Fetchen was attempting to turn right into a driveway. Emerson attempted to pass Fetchen on the left. Fetchen realized the driveway was not plowed and turned left into another driveway. The Emerson vehicle struck the Fetchen vehicle in the driver’s side front corner.
Feb. 12: Officer Bartunek investigated an accident on Union Road at 8:54 p.m. Kaitlin Wallace, 26, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2005 Ford sedan. Wallace was traveling north on Union Road, lost control, went off the road to the right, struck a snowbank, then struck a tree.
Feb. 11: Officer Tom Bartunek is investigating a report of the theft of a dog and cat.
