The Waldoboro Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance identifying two male subjects caught on video surveillance camera during an early morning burglary at the Waldoboro Smoke Shop.
The burglary occurred sometime between 1 and 2:30 a.m. Oct. 19. The Waldoboro Smoke Shop is on the corner of Kalers Corner Road and Route 1, directly across from Dunkin’ Donuts.
The burglars are heard on surveillance camera referring to each other as “Mark” and “Ken.”
The subject identified as Mark is believed to be between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds. Through conversations heard during the burglary, Mark is believed to possibly be from the Sanford area. The other subject, believed to be known as Ken, is believed to be between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall and between 175 and 180 pounds.
The suspects appeared to be extremely organized and precise regarding their movements and activities inside the store. Entry was made through the front door and they exited through the rear of the store. The burglars were able to get into the safe and get away with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise.
