The Waldoboro police report the following activities from the previous weeks:
June 28: Rachel Dubois, 26, of Gray, who was driving a 2008 Nissan, four door sedan, collided with a 2003 Ford, four door sedan operated by Esther Dawson, 76, of Waldoboro, as Dawson failed to yield the right of way while pulling out of Moody’s Diner parking lot onto the Atlantic Highway around 9:30 a.m. Neither party was injured. The Ford and the Nissan both sustained $2000 damage. Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated the accident.
June 28: Jonathan Bagdanove, 52, of Friendship, was operating a southbound 1988 GMC truck on the Friendship Road around 10:18 a.m. when he attempted to make a left turn into a garage without using a directional signal. Jeffery Grant, 29, who was driving a 2005 Chevrolet, pickup truck south on the Friendship Road attempted to pass Bagdanove on the left, causing Bagdanove to strike the Grant vehicle. Bagdanove’s GMC sustained $800 damage. Grant’s Chevrolet sustained $2000 damage. Neither party was injured. Chief William Labombarde investigated the accident.
July 5: Molly Brooks, 19, of Rockland, was driving a 1998 VW, four-door sedan, north on the Atlantic Highway around 3:31 a.m. when she ran off the road, crossing the opposite lane and coming to rest in the southbound side ditch. Brooks VW sustained $3000 damage. Brooks was not injured in the accident. She was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence. Officer Michel Dutil investigated the accident.
July 6: Emile Rodrigue, 48, of Fairfield, exited a parking spot at Morse’s Sauerkraut around 1:44 p.m. Facing south on the Washington Road, Rodrigue attempted a U-turn. Linda Thompson, 50, of Waldoboro was traveling south on the Washington Road. Thompson stated she observed Rodrigue pull out into the roadway and attempted to avoid accident by swerving to the left. Thompson struck Rodrigue in the driver’s side door. Rodrigue complained of pain in the arm area. Rodrigue’s 2007 Chrysler, van, sustained an estimated $3500 damage. Thompson’s 2002 Mercury, SUV sustained $5000 damage. Officer Sean Kozer investigated the accident.
July 7: Frederick Lee, 60, of Waldoboro, who was driving a (no year listed) Chrysler van, struck a 2001 Ford four door sedan operated by Fernald Garland, 90, of Chapman, as Garland was attempting to the right side of Lee’s vehicle to make a right turn onto the Atlantic Highway from Coles Hill Road around 6:02 p.m. Garland’s sedan sustained $1000 damage. Lee’s van sustained $500 damage. Neither man was injured. Officer Sean Kozer investigated.
July 8: Lucille Lash, 79, of Friendship, ran off the Friendship Road into a ditch filled with water, and struck a utility pole around 8:10 a.m. Lash’s 2004 Dodge, four door sedan sustained $4500 damage. Lash complained of pain in the face area. Officer Sean Kozer investigated.
July 9: Around 2:42 p.m., Skylar Carroll, 16, of Waldoboro, who was driving a 2000 Chrysler, four door sedan, struck Robert Yackel, 61, of Waldoboro, who was driving a 2006 Toyota pickup truck, in the rear, due to driver distraction. The crash resulted in $200 damage to the Yackel vehicle and $2000 damage to Carroll’s sedan. Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated.
July 9: A pedestrian, Travis Hoffses, 17, of Waldoboro, sustained injuries to the facial area after he was struck by a 2009 Honda, four door sedan operated Roberta Marion, 82, on Winslows Mills Road around 3:29 p.m. Witnesses state Hoffses stepped out from behind the truck, kneeled down to pick something up from the ground and then proceeded to cross the street without looking, causing the accident. Marion’s Honda sustained $500 damage. Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated
July 9: Derek Booker, 19, of Waldoboro, complained of pain in the head area after he fell asleep and ran off the Union Road into some trees around 4:55 p.m. Booker was operating a 2008 Chevrolet, four door sedan, which sustained $3000 damage. Officer Sean Kozer investigated.

July 1, Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a report of harassment of a female by a group of males. The subjects were found and warned on harassment.
