Maine State Police say two Waldoboro residents are facing crack cocaine charges after the car they were in was stopped along Route 126 in Pittston Thursday, Nov. 5.
Troopers charged Nichole Pranes, 39, and Destinee Smith, 19, with unlawful possession of a schedule W drug after allegedly seizing about 4 grams of crack, prescription pills, and various drug paraphernalia from the vehicle Pranes and Smith were riding in.
Troopers Chris Rogers and James Moore stopped the car, operated by Pranes, Nov. 5, after receiving a tip from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Pranes and Smith were taken to Kennebec County Jail. As of this posting, Smith has posted bail and been released. Pranes remains in custody.
