William Post, Waldoboro’s Town Manager since 2008, resigned Jan. 11.
His resignation came during an executive session of the Waldoboro Board of Selectmen following a special town meeting at the Miller School in Waldoboro.
He announced his resignation in a brief letter to the board, which states only that he was resigning effective immediately. He did not provide any explanation of the reasons behind his resignation, saying only that it was for personal reasons, said Becky Maxwell, Chairman of the Waldoboro Board of Selectmen.
“We’ll be fine,” Maxwell said. “We were fine before, we’ll be fine again.”
Eileen Dondlinger, Waldoboro’s Finance Director, will serve as acting Town Manger until a permanent replacement is hired, Maxwell said.
