In what seems like a continuing trend, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Warning for yet another storm expected to visit Lincoln County.
This storm is forecast to bring snowfall, blustery winds and cold temps beginning in the early Friday morning hours of Fri., Jan. 21, according to the NWS. The heaviest snowfall is forecast to come mid-morning on Friday, with snowfall continuing into Friday evening, according to the NWS.
Snowfall rates during the morning hours may reach over 1 inch per hour, according to the NWS.
Snowfall accumulation is forecast in the range of 5 to 8 inches, but the NWS warns of “locally higher (snowfall) amounts on the midcoast”.
The Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, according to the NWS.
