The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch in regard to a storm forecast to drop into Lincoln County beginning Wednesday evening and hang around until Thursday morning, leaving some snow behind.
Broadcast forecasters are calling for 3-6 inches of snowfall along the coastline with lesser amounts inland. The NWS is calling for over 6 inches of accumulation.
Readers may want to note that the forecast track for this event has already changed once (it was originally supposed to arrive Wednesday morning), and the storm system associated with it is quite substantial. Any change in course as the system moves closer to Lincoln County could mean significantly more — or less — snow. This one bears watching…
