A Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) was withdrawn early on Monday, but not before heavy rainfall left some area roads flooded.
Nonetheless, forecasters are still calling for additional light rainfall and the possibility of a wintry mix or snow showers Monday evening as temps slide below the freezing level beginning around 5 p.m.
A Flood Watch also issued by the NWS was withdrawn as well. The Flood Watch warned that snow melt could cause rivers to rise and ice blocking drainage areas could create flood conditions in some areas, and in fact there were a number of flooded roads reported in Lincoln County (see related article). Some of those roads were beginning to clear up at the time of this posting.
No power outages were reported in Lincoln County at the time of this posting.
The Lincoln County News will continue to follow the progress of this event and post any additional information here as soon as it becomes available.
