The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch in regard to a weather front expected to visit Lincoln County from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning.
The NWS bulletin calls for the possibility of just about any type of precipitation imaginable – from rain, to sleet, to ice, to snowfall. The storm’s track is still variable, and any change in course would tend to mean either more rainfall (or none) or more snowfall, depending on the direction.
The NWS bulletin estimates that the total accumulation of ice and snow could exceed 6 inches during this event.
The Lincoln County News website will continue to follow the progress of this event and post any additional information here as soon as it becomes available.
