The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Lincoln County through 8 a.m., Wednesday, June 12.
According to http://weather.gov, a broad area of low pressure and a frontal system will approach from the south and stall over the area tonight. Rain could be heavy at times, totaling one to two inches with locally higher amounts.
Because recent heavy rainfall has already saturated the ground, additional rainfall will run off into streams and rivers raising water levels quickly, according to the website. Urban street flooding is also possible, it states.
