The Westport Selectmen have cancelled their October 29 meeting due to heavy weather generated by Hurricane Sandy, according to a field report from LCN reporter Dominik Lobkowicz.
The wide-ranging elements of Hurricane Sandy are forecast to bring dangerously high winds Monday into Monday night, according to the National Weather Service, which has also issued a High Wind Warning and Coastal Flood Warning for the area.
The Lincoln County News website will continue to follow the progress of this event, with constant coverage beginning Monday, extending into the night-time hours, and continuing on Tuesday.
