At their July 2 meeting the Westport Island First Selectman George Richardson Jr., read a letter of resignation from town clerk Pam Frenier, saying she was resigning immediately, and thanked them for all that she learned over the past three years.
The board voted Sandra Crehore to be interim town clerk, “until we work out the details,” said Richardson.
According to Richardson, Crehore has agreed to be interim town clerk, but it is not known if her hours will be the same.
In other business, the selectmen voted on committee members for various boards and committees. Of note is the code enforcement officer is Gary Richardson, and the deputy CEO is Ronald Stoodley.
