A Whitefield woman has been sentenced to seven months in jail and two years of probation for sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy in December 2013.
Keturah D. Tillson, 28, pleaded guilty to a single count each of class C sexual abuse of a minor, a felony; and class E violation of condition of release, a misdemeanor, in Lincoln County Superior Court in Wiscasset Jan. 22, according to court documents.
In exchange for the plea, the district attorney’s office dismissed two more charges of class C sexual abuse of a minor and two more charges of class E violation of condition of release.
Tillson was sentenced to three years in custody with all but seven months suspended, plus two years of probation for the abuse charge. The sentence will run concurrently with a 30-day sentence for the bail violation.
Tillson’s probation will commence immediately. The probation conditions prohibit unsupervised contact with non-relative male children under 16, prohibit contact with the victim and his family, and require out-patient sex offender treatment.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Detective Scott Hayden arrested Tillson June 12, 2014, according to court documents.
Tillson was 27 at the time of the abuse and free on bail in a domestic violence assault case. She was sentenced to seven days in jail on the domestic violence assault charge.
A Lincoln County grand jury indicted her on three charges each of class C sexual abuse of a minor and class E violation of condition of release Sept. 10, 2014.
