The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in advance of snowfall forecast to affect Lincoln County on Thursday. This weather event will be relatively mild compared with the recent parade of storms that have pummeled the area, according to forecasters. Snow should arrive in the overnight hours of Wednesday and continue to fall through the mid-day hours of Thursday, leaving 3 to 6 inches of accumulation, according to forecasts.
Temps are forecast to stay well below the freeze line, keeping the snow type “light and fluffy,” according to forecasts. Wind should stay relatively mild, running out of the west at 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph, according to the NWS.
The winter weather advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday.
