Wiscasset Police arrested 20-year-old Steven Peaslee on charges related to an alleged domestic violence assault Dec. 15.
According to a statement from the Wiscasset Police Department, Wiscasset Officer Perry Hatch received a complaint from an 18-year-old female around 5:35 p.m. Dec. 15. The woman alleged she had been against her will at the residence she shared with Peaslee.
The woman alleged Peaslee pushed her up against a wall before restraining her with duct tape on her wrists and ankles. The woman also alleged Peaslee bit her in several areas. Wiscasset Police report the alleged victim exhibited minor injuries from the alleged bites.
Assisted by Lincoln Sheriff’s Deputy Jared Mitkus, Hatch responded to the residence to speak to Peaslee, whom police report was on probation for a burglary conviction. Initially Peaslee would not come to the door and when he did, Wiscasset police allege he was uncooperative.
Peaslee was subsequently arrested and charged with domestic violence assault, criminal restraint, refusal to submit to arrest or detention, and probation violation. He is currently being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail on a probation hold.
