Accidents

On Oct. 29 Lt. Allen investigated a car/pedestrian accident that occurred on Rt. 27 involving Zachary Forgrave 18, of Wiscasset and Samantha Maine, 15, of Wiscasset. Maine was crossing the Gardiner Rd. in the crosswalk. Zachary thought that the pedestrian was waiting for traffic to leave the community center and proceeded, hitting the pedestrian. The Wiscasset Ambulance responded.

On Oct. 31 Officer Simmons investigated an accident that occurred on Rt. 1 involving Gaye P. Miller, 61, of Topsham and Daniel Wright, 36, of Woolwich. Wright came out of Old Bath Rd. in front of Miller who was traveling south on Rt. 1. Miller was unable to stop in time, striking Wright’s 1996 Volkswagen in the left front causing damage estimated at $1500. Damage to Miller’s 2004 Datsun estimated at $1500.
