The Wiscasset Police report the following activities from the previous week:
On July 29 Officer Williams investigated an accident that occurred on Lowelltown Rd. involving Nickolas B. Ames, 19, of Wiscasset and Ann L. Wilkie, 51, of Wiscasset. Ames was traveling south on Lowelltown Rd. Wilkie had stopped at the stop sign on Willow Lane and then, not seeing Ames, pulled out onto the Lowelltown Rd. Wilkie then struck Ames’ 2001 Chevrolet causing damage estimated at $4000. Damage to Wilkie’s 2005 Toyota estimated at $7000.
On Aug. 3 Officer Simmons arrested Roger Campbell, 30, of Wiscasset on a Waterville District Court warrant for failure to appear in court on criminal summons.
July 28, Lt Allen responded to an unwanted subject at a residence on the Old Bath Rd. and responded to a disabled motor vehicle complaint on Gardiner Rd.
July 28, Officer Simmons received police information reference incident at the crosswalk on Main St., received information of a disabled motor vehicle on Rt. 1, responded for suspicious activity on Danforth St., responded to a medical emergency on Rt. 27, received complaint of loud juveniles at parking area and basketball court at the Middle School, and investigated complaint of suspicious activity at the Primary School.
July 29, Lt. Allen investigated a three-car accident on Main St., responded to a parking problem on Danforth St., responded for call of suspicious persons at Maine Yankee; all okay, took report of shoplifting at business on Rt. 1, responded for a disabled motorist on Rt. 27, responded to a traffic hazard on Rt. 1, and assisted a 7-year-old by getting old handcuffs off her wrist after finding them at the transfer station.
July 29, Officer Williams investigated an accident that occurred on the Lowelltown Rd. and made service of paperwork for Wiscasset Superior Court.
July 30, Lt. Allen assisted business with escort on Rt. 1.
July 30, Officer Simmons responded to a disabled motor vehicle complaint on Gardiner Rd.; vehicle gone on arrival.
July 30, Officer Williams assisted citizen with attempt to locate on Cromwell Rd., received police information on Rt. 1, received two erratic operations complaints on Rt. 1, responded to report of male subject lying in the roadway on Shady Lane; subject transported to MidCoast Hospital.
July 31, Officer Don Smith responded to call involving twin babies locked in vehicle on the Mountain Rd.; all okay, conducted radar detail on Flood Ave. and Old Bath Rd., responded to erratic operations complaints on Rt. 1 and on Birch Point Rd., responded to a disabled motor vehicle complaint on Rt. 1, assisted citizen on Willow Lane and issued verbal warnings for speeding and motor vehicle defects on Rt. 1, Rt. 27, Flood Ave., and Old Bath Rd.
July 31, Officer Simmons issued warnings for operation and speeding on Rt. 27 and Rt. 1 and issued a summons for speeding on Rt. 27.
Aug. 1, Officer Don Smith issued warnings for motor vehicle defects and operation on Rt. 1 and checked on suspicious vehicle parked at Huber’s Market on Rt. 1.
Aug. 1, Officer Temple received calls from five businesses reporting burglaries or attempted burglaries on Rt. 1, Rt. 27, and Chewonki Neck Rd., and responded for a medical emergency on Birch Point Rd.
Aug. 1, Officer Michael Smith provided citizen assist on High St., issued two verbal warnings for speeding and failure to dim on Rt. 1, along with Officer Simmons assisted citizen on Hilltop Drive, and responded for erratic driving complaint on Rt. 1.
Aug. 1, Officer Simmons responded for two erratic drivers on Rt. 1.
Aug. 2, Officer Williams investigated suspicious vehicle on Rummerill Rd. and assisted Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department with transport on Rt. 1.
Aug. 3, Lt. Allen assisted citizen with fingerprinting at the police department and assisted business owner on Rt. 1 with VIN verification.
Aug. 3, Officer Simmons made a warrant arrest at Two Bridges Regional Jail, received report of erratic driving on Rt. 27, received police information on Rt. 1 and made attempt to locate on Rt. 1.
