The Wiscasset Police report the following activities from Dec. 20, 2009-Jan. 1:
Dec. 21, 2009, Lt. Allen responded to a disabled truck on Main Street just south of the bridge on the hill, took a complaint about a cow on West Alna Road. Officer Simmons investigated a dog complaint on Gorham Road.
Dec. 22, 2009, Sgt. Hatch assisted Wiscasset EMS with a 90-year-old woman who had pains on the left side. Officer Williams served some paperwork on Old Bath Road, assisted with a broken-down pick up truck on Bath Road, assisted with an arrest.
Dec. 23, 2009, Officer Williams investigated a motor vehicle accident on Rt. 218 near the Old Sheepscot Road where a car hit a deer. The deer is believed to be deceased. She also recovered a black lab dog. Lt. Allen arrested Brandon S. Copeland of Boothbay Harbor on a warrant, investigated a drive off; fraud investigation on Gardiner Road at the Quick Stop, investigated a disabled vehicle on Bath Road. Officer Williams investigated a motor vehicle accident on Indian Road, where a 1996 Chevrolet, drove into a ditch.
Dec. 24, 2009, Sgt. Sceviour investigated a minor property damage traffic accident at Big Al’s on Bath Road; Lt. Allen issued a warning after a person on Dow Road reported his neighbor’s dog would not let him get in his van. The neighbor was warned to keep his dog penned. Sgt. Hatch issued a warning for speed on Bath Road, and issued a warning ticket to a motorist that had no license plate on his trailer. Officer Williams helped transport Ellen M. McPhee of Jefferson to Two Bridges Regional Jail for Disorderly Conduct.
Dec. 25, 2009, Sgt. Hatch issued a traffic ticket to Mark N. Lewis of Skowhegan for operating with a suspended license; stopped a vehicle for no insurance certificate; and, issued a warning ticket for a vehicle defect. Officer Williams refereed a dispute between a woman and her ex-boyfriend. The woman complained he had taken her medication and GPS unit. The woman was helped to get her belongings back.
Dec. 26, 2009, Officer Caron issued a warning ticket for speeding; Officer Simmons investigated a traffic accident where a driver hit a mailbox.
Dec. 27, 2009, Sgt. Hatch issued a warning citation on Main Street and a warning citation for a vehicle defect.
Dec. 28, 2009, Sgt. Hatch issued a warning for a vehicle defect, a warning for speeding, and another for a vehicle defect. Lt. Allen stopped a vehicle by Maple Wood Trailer Park on Gardiner Road; arrested Robert Creamer of Dresden on a warrant; investigated a civil complaint at the Whippoorwill Mobile Home Park on Gardiner Road, involving a dispute over unpaid rent on a trailer. Officer Simmons investigated a motor vehicle accident on Gardiner Road where a car slid off the road; and, investigated another auto accident where a vehicle slid off the road.
Dec. 29, 2009, Lt. Allen investigated a report that someone was knocking down mailboxes on Hale Pond; gave a ride to a male subject; investigated a complaint at Happy’s Pizza on Main Street where someone ordered 125 pizzas through a TTY service out of California. Advised it was a scam; and, investigated a domestic disturbance where the man decided to go to his mother’s for the night.
Dec. 30, 2009, Officer Williams gave a warning ticket for speeding; Lt. Allen investigated a traffic accident on Bath Road; and, investigated another accident on Main Street at the end of the bridge by the railroad tracks.
Dec. 31, 2009, Officer Simmons assisted a citizen on Willow Lane; Officer Banks investigated a motor vehicle accident on Bath Road; Lt. Allen investigated a dispute between neighbors involving an argument over a trailer; investigated a theft of condoms and candy at the Clipper Mart on Bath Road; and, Officer Willams investigated a complaint involving a man who was reported tearing up everything at a shop on Caton Road. The man was gone before police arrived.
