Wiscasset Police Report

The Wiscasset Police Dept. report the following:

AccidentsJune 16, Sgt. Kathy Williams responded to an accident involving Helen E. Nasberg, 82, of Augusta, who was traveling north on Gardiner Road when she hit Charles Preyer, 86, of Wiscasset, who was walking onto the Gardiner Road from his driveway. No damage to Nasberg’s vehicle. Police reported Preyer conscious and breathing at the scene. No additional information on extent of injuries.

June 18, Patrol Officer Donald Smith investigated an accident involving a 2006 Toyota driven by Julianne Pfeiffer, 54, of Lincolnville, who was traveling south on Rt. 1 when she was struck by a 2002 Hyundai driven by William K. Ruddell, 51, of Woolwich. According to the accident report, Ruddell was attempting to leave the Wiscasset Marketplace and did not see the Pfeiffer vehicle and took evasive action to avoid impact. Damage to Pfeiffer’s vehicle is estimated at $3500, and damage to Ruddell’s vehicle is estimated at $3000.
