The Wiscasset Police Dept. report the following:
Nov. 18, Officer Gary R. Caron responded to a single-car motor vehicle accident at Wiscasset Ford, involving a 1994 Nissan Sentra whose driver drove over the embankment trying to get cell phone coverage, and the vehicle was impounded.
Nov. 14, Officer Jason Warlick performed several property checks; issued a warning for failure to stop at a stop sign on Rt. 1. Reserve Officer Alex D. Greenlaw provided traffic enforcement, issuing two separate warnings for speed, and performed several property checks.
Nov. 15, Officer Jason Warlick performed several property checks; responded to a Lowelltown Road residence for an unruly juvenile; Reserve Officer Alex D. Greenlaw performed several property checks and issued several warnings for vehicle operation; Reserve Officer Perry N. Hatch issued several warnings for vehicle operation.
Nov. 16, Officer Jason Warlick performed multiple property checks; conducted a disabled vehicle assist; issued warnings for speeding; stopped a vehicle for speeding, and found passenger in severe pain due to recent surgery and driver taking him to Maine Medical Center. Paged Wiscasset EMS to the scene for transport; warned operator about speed.
Sergeant Kathy Williams is investigating a civil complaint; and responded to complaint of harassment.
Nov. 17, Officer Gary R. Caron performed various property checks and issued a warning for speed following a traffic stop.
Nov. 18, Chief Troy Cline investigated a burglar alarm at a Main Street residence. Alarm was tripped in error and served a subpoena at a Shea Road residence.
Nov. 18, Officer Michael Smith investigated a reported theft at the Whippoorwill Trailer Park on Gardiner Road and performed a traffic stop on Gardiner Road, issued a warning for no tail-lights following a traffic stop on the Bath Road; and responded to a report of harassment on Birch Point Road. Subject was found and warned about harassment.
Nov. 19, Officer Michael Smith performed various property checks; issued a warning for speed following a traffic stop on Bath Road and performed a welfare check at a Birch Point Road residence.
Nov. 19, Officer Donald Smith investigated two separate burglar alarms, one at a Clarks Point Road location and a second at the Wiscasset Community Center. Both cleared with no problem.
Nov. 19, Officer Adam L. Temple performed a welfare check at a Birch Point Road residence.
