Wiscasset Police Report

The Wiscasset Police Department reports the following activity for the week ending Nov. 30

ArrestsCory M. Ray, 37, of Dresden, criminal mischief and criminal trespassing, Nov. 30.

AccidentsNov. 29, Officer Harrison Wiegman responded to a three-vehicle accident on Bradford Road. Ronald Cromwell, 42, of Brunswick, was unable to slow the 2000 Gold Chevy Truck he was driving after rounding a curve and clipped the bumper of a 2011 White Ford operated by Ryan Perkins, 31, of Mount Vernon. Cromwell’s vehicle continued down the road and struck the rear bumper of a utility truck operated by Patrick Chamberlain, 38, of Gardiner.

Cromwell stated that he believed his accelerator was stuck. Cromwell’s vehicle was seriously damaged and needed to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 29: Officer Harrison Wiegman responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 1 involving Julia Libby, 73, of Lincolnville, and William M. Thompson, 88, of Alna. Thompson was crossing Route 1 from Fort Hill Street to Federal Street. Libby was driving south on Route 1, was unable to stop, and hit Thompson’s passenger side door.
