AccidentsApril 28: Officer Benjamin Kolko responded to a two car accident at the intersection of Hooper Street and Gardiner Road. Tammy Aberegg, 40, of Dresden, was operating a 2004 Pontiac Vibe when she attempted to cross Gardiner Road towards Federal Street from Hooper Street. Robert Kanewske, 69, of Waldoboro, was operating a 1999 GMC Suburban northbound on Gardiner Road and struck Aberegg as she attempted to cross Gardiner Road.

April 29: Chief Troy Cline responded to a single vehicle accident on Fowle Hill Road. Kelly Talbert, 35, of Wiscasset, was operating a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt westward on Fowle Hill Road when a fox ran in front of the vehicle. Talbert swerved to avoid hitting the fox, lost control of the vehicle, and drove into a ditch striking rocks and trees before the vehicle came to a rest. Due to damage sustained, a wrecker was needed to tow the remove the car from the scene.
