The Wiscasset Police Department reported the following activity for the week ending Aug. 30.
Paul F. Canny, 52, Newcastle, operating without a valid inspection, Aug. 24.
Kyle James Perkins, 20, Damariscotta, possession of marijuana, Aug. 27.
Matthew Raymond, 26, Boothbay, failing to produce evidence of insurance, Aug. 24.
Aug. 23: Officer Kolko responded to a single-vehicle accident on Old Bath Road. Susan Ritigan, 72, of Wiscasset, was operating a 2006 Subaru northbound on Old Bath Road when a deer ran in front of her vehicle. Ritigan struck the deer.
Aug. 25: Sgt. Kathy Williams responded to a two-vehicle accident on Bath Road. Niles Putnam, 31, of Hopemill, N.C., was operating a motor home southbound on Bath Road and slowed down in traffic. Christian Morgan, 32, of Wiscasset, was driving behind Putnam in a 1997 Dodge Truck and did not slow down in time. Morgan’s vehicle struck the rear passenger corner of Putnam’s motor home.
Aug. 27: Sgt. Williams responded to a single-vehicle accident in the Sea Basket parking lot on Bath Road. Dianne W. Traphage, 71, of Ocala, Fla., was pulling into the parking lot and scraped the barrier of the Sea Basket sign.
