Susan Doray, 28, of Wiscasset, was arrested on Dec. 4 by Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline on charges of unauthorized use of property and violation of conditions of release, according to a department press release.
The arrest followed a reported theft of a motor vehicle on Dec. 3.
Dee Russell, 50, of Wiscasset, reported to Officer Geoffrey Davis that she allowed Matthew Reed, 29, and Doray to use a 1995 Toyota Tercel at around 8:30 a.m. that day, according to the release.
Doray and Reed were only supposed to go to Reed’s place of employment, according to the release.
Davis responded to that report around 5:45 p.m., Cline said in a conversation Dec. 4.
According to the release, Cline followed-up on the matter on Dec. 4 and located the vehicle at Russell’s residence at around 9 a.m.
Russell advised Cline that Doray had allegedly dropped off the vehicle at around midnight, and that Doray may still be at her home since Russell had just dropped her off, according to the release.
Cline went to Doray’s residence and arrested her there, according to the release.
Doray was convicted in the Sixth District Court earlier this year on charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, operating while license suspended or revoked, and violating conditions of release.
