A Wiscasset woman pleaded guilty Aug. 4 to selling Oxycodone to a confidential informant last October.
Constance Harrington, 35, pleaded guilty in Lincoln County Superior Court to a class B felony charge of unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs (oxycodone).
At Harrington’s plea hearing Assistant Attorney General Jamie Guerrette, the prosecutor in the case, said Harrington sold the drugs to a confidential informant.
The informant, who was searched and equipped with a recorder prior to the buy, met with Harrington in Dresden to provide her with cash, and met her again later in Wiscasset to complete the transaction, Guerrette said.
Justice Daniel Billings accepted Harrington’s plea, and sentenced her to two years incarceration with all but 60 days suspended and two years probation, and ordered her to pay a $400 fine and $230 in restitution.
Harrington’s probation conditions include no use or possession of illegal drugs, random searches and testing, and substance abuse evaluation and counseling.
Harrington’s probation is effective immediately, but execution of her jail sentence is stayed until Oct. 1, Billings said.
