One woman was transported to Miles Memorial Hospital, after a two-vehicle accident on Rt. 220 in Waldoboro Jan. 1.
According to Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde, Robert Griffin, 18, was preparing to turn left when he moved the 2005 Dodge Neon he was operating to the right.
Thinking Griffin was pulling into the breakdown lane, a 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck driven by Matthew McFarland, 29, attempted to pass the Neon. As Griffin moved to the left to execute the turn, his car was sideswiped by the F150.
Labombarde said Maureen Waterhouse, 26, was a passenger in the F150. Waterhouse was transported to Miles Memorial Hospital by Waldoboro Emergency Medical Services where she was treated and released.
Damage to the vehicles was not significant, Labombarde said.
