A Woolwich man faces 15 counts of possessing child pornography following his arrest Jan. 27 by the State Police Computer Crimes Unit, according to a press release issued by Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland.
William Diemer, 31, of Meadow Rd., was arrested Jan. 27 and taken to the Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.
Diemer faces 15 counts of possessing sexually explicit materials. The investigation began last fall when his computer was seized from his home after state police received a tip.
After analyzing the computer, detectives consulted with the district attorney’s office which authorized Diemer’s arrest. Diemer was arrested Monday at his place of employment, Pemaquid Harbor Yachts, in New Harbor.
None of the children depicted in the alleged pornography are believed to be from Maine. Diemer is married. The couple have no children.
