Where Caring Comes First
Most people consider their pets to be members of the family, which makes choosing the best veterinarian for your pet a very difficult decision. Pet owners have many important factors to consider before deciding on a clinic. How long has the clinic been practicing? What are the clinic’s values? Are services available at a reasonable price?
Caring pet owners can find a positive response for all of those questions at the Damariscotta Veterinary Clinic, where their committed staff with extensive experience provides high quality care and compassion for every pet that comes through their door.
“Your pet’s health is important to us; that is why we offer a diverse range of medical, surgical, dental, and preventive health services,” said Dr. Christine Welch (DVM) of the Damariscotta Veterinary Clinic. “Customer satisfaction and your pet’s wellness are our top priorities. We have committed ourselves to providing only the best veterinary care around.”
For the past 30 years, Dr. Welch has been known in the Damariscotta, the Boothbay region, and the Midcoast area for her thoughtful and kind veterinary care. She is a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Maine Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Welch is also a caring pet owner. She and her husband Merle live on their farm in Newcastle with four dogs, three cats, “many” sheep, four horses, and “lots of chickens”. In her spare time she loves to garden and spend time with her animals.
At Damariscotta Veterinary Clinic, consistent general health care for your pet as well as purposeful preventive care are top priorities. “Regular visits to a veterinary clinic for yearly physical exams can help extend the life of your family pet,” said Dr. Welch. “Taking proactive actions can greatly decrease the chances of your pet developing a disease years from now.”
From dentistry and exotic bird medicine to laser therapy and digital radiology, Damariscotta Veterinary Clinic offers it all. They provide care for all types of pets including cats, dogs, wildlife animals, small ruminants, birds, and pocket pets. “If you have an animal of any kind in need of medical attention, we can provide medical care for them,” Dr. Welch said.
“Affordability is also important to us, because we truly believe every pet deserves the care he or she needs, pet insurance can help provide peace of mind in case the unfortunate should happen. Its purpose is to help cover the costs of unexpected accidents and illnesses that may occur in the future, ” Dr. Welch said.
