Erica Averill and Randall Smith
Vicki Wood, of Round Pond, and Phil Averill and Jan Bacon, of Bristol, are very happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Erica Margaret Averill, to Randall Paul Smith, son of Paula Smith, of Gibsonia, Pa., and Kenneth Smith, of Damariscotta.
Erica Averill is a graduate of Dalhousie University and is self-employed as a caretaker while also tending bar in Round Pond during the summer. Randall Smith is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and is employed as an architect at Knickerbocker Group in Boothbay. Averill and Smith were introduced through mutual friends after a serendipitous first encounter, fueled by Smith’s love for Granite Hall Store ice cream. Smith proposed in the idyllic setting of Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburg, Pa. A wedding is planned for fall 2018.
